Partial lunar eclipse witnessed in the northeast

Parts of Northeastern India witnessed a partial lunar eclipse on Saturday, June 26 as earth’s shadow covered the moon. The eclipse started at 2.27 pm and ended at 7.50pm and the partial phase lasted for 2 hours 43 minutes.
The visibility in India was at the end of the eclipse.
The ending of the eclipse could be visible in parts of northeastern states at the time of moonrise.
This was the last eclipse in 2010 for India.
The initial phase of the eclipse was visible from the central parts of South America, parts of the US, Canada and Arctic Ocean.
The final phase was visible at some parts of the Indian Ocean, northeast India, China, Mongolia and northeast part of Russia.
